The joys of childbirth, motherhood... 

and unfortunately at times the painful and less expected issues that we sometimes face...

Today we saw the joys of pregnancy and of women who had previously been infertile and then become pregnant thanks to the loving care of Bethany's OB-Gyns.

We also saw women that share the same struggles and sadness that we see in the states... 

infertility and miscarriages... 

One of the saddening realities we learned about was that the number one cause of infertility in this region of India is tuberculosis infection and scarring. Tuberculosis in the states is rare and rarely progresses to the degree that it would cause infertility.
